Little Acorns Private Day Nursery in Atherton has been providing exceptional childcare for children aged from 6 weeks to five-years-old since 1987. We have an outstanding reputation in our local area.

Located in a lovely Victorian property, our nursery exudes a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Over the years we have worked hard in creating a warm, friendly environment that embraces both children and parents, promoting a strong sense of belonging. Our goal is to become an integral part of your family, providing care to each child as if they were our own.

Outside we have a secluded natural outdoor play area, where children get the opportunity to explore outdoors every day. We go above and beyond to meet every child’s individual need from the moment they join us all the way through until our graduation ball when they leave us for Big School.

Step through the doors of our nursery and you’ll quickly see a world jam packed full of natural resources and unique learning experiences driven by our belief in ‘The Curiosity Approach’, an exciting child development ethos designed to inspire young minds.

We’re unique in the local area have gained ‘Curiosity Approach’ accreditation.

Children who attend the nursery are given the opportunity to attend swimming lessons, to learn French and Spanish and they can also take advantage of our amazing Just Nature Days programme which give them the opportunity of learning in the great outdoors.

At Little Acorns, we have a long-serving and passionate team who are highly qualified and who regularly undertake paediatric first aid and safeguarding training.

All our nursery team have undergone enhanced DBS checks and are on the update service which means we check staff DBSs every 12 weeks. For added peace of mind, the nursery has CCTV and a secure door entry systems.

Healthy, nutritious and freshly prepared every day.

The chef at Little Acorns prepares all of the nursery’s healthy meals and snacks using quality ingredients sourced where possible from local suppliers. The nursery’s seasonal menu can be altered to meet any special dietary requirements.
