Set in a former school building in the heart of Thornbury, our Little Acorns Nursery in Thornbury features bright spacious playrooms packed with exciting areas and inspiring activities that encourage and inspire learning and development.

Physical activities both outdoors and indoors are a big part of each day at our nursery with large outdoor play areas provided for each age group and our very own fabulous Soft Play Room, featuring ball pool, slides and soft play equipment.  Children of all age groups love this area, which is absolutely brilliant for socialising and promoting physical development.

We know that children learn best when they’re having lots of fun, so all of our learning activities focus on learning through play. As well as learning numeracy and literacy at nursery, our children dance, bake, create art and even grow their own fruit and vegetables!

Our carefully planned menus are designed to make sure our children are nurtured with fresh food and a nutritionally balanced diet every day.

Our menu run on a four-week cycle offering a different range of meals each week, so that your child has the varied diet required to help them develop their tastes and make healthy choices in the future.

We serve delicious meals inspired by a variety of different cultures. As a result, our children get to discover an exciting range of tastes, smells and textures. By keeping our menus interesting we aim to teach our children that trying new food is exciting, not scary, and that healthy ingredients can be transformed into something amazing!
